  • DAUGHTER ZION/DAUG... @daught3rz1on people, esp female friends, i need your feedback. am i crazy and out of touch, or is this situation extremely tacky? please tell me PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS INSANE
  • i have a 32yo cousin who's getting married to the guy she's been with for 10yrs, lived with for 7. both have well-paying jobs, no kids. their registry features stuff like this (see additional pics). the ceremony and reception will be at the same venue from 5pm-11pm. the venue has no cell service, no wifi, and no parking, and is in a location where per their website "ubers are hard to come by." it's about a 20min drive from the hotel where they have a block of room for guests. for transportation

  • DAUGHTER ZION/DAUG... @daught3rz1on i forgot to mention!!!! CHILD FREE WEDDING OF COURSE
  • vict @TwilightAtavism I do think it's insane that there is no parking at the venue-but I do think if someone accepts an invitation to your party for which you are paying hundreds of dollars per person, then you can ask for them to be there the entire time.
  • intermittent exultation ❤> @tradwife ai In my experience, couples who have lived together for a number of years typically just ask for money (my cousin is getting married this fall and asked for us to fund different excursions on her honeymoon, for example). Listing Netflix itself is pretty tacky. The childfree, hostage held wedding is giving very dink-minded party planning.
  • Molon Labe Mama ✪ @molonlabemama It's like she wants it to be seen as a lavish wedding that's upscale and exclusive, but really she's cheaping out on the guests and expects them to lavish her with trips to Greece after legalizing a common law marriage. She's insane and a brat.
  • Faw kt (she/her) @ katieee this is my exact age group and this seems not that crazy.......
  • leyla @leylaaa31 my husband and I put a general "honeymoon fund"/ cash gift option on our registry, but I heard from others that their boomer family members like to feel that they're earmarking $$ for specific excursions or activities. This feels really normal to me personally
  • ariel @donotdelay Now that I'm actually planning a wedding, the only way for it not to be at least a little gauche is to spend an unimaginable amount of money
  • Anna @anniodarone3 Honestly, I think this is all fine. I got my friends a honeymoon breakfast off their registry. It's fun idk. An unplugged wedding would also be nice.
  • The REAL Suburban Mom @ItsMrsPlugg Actually wow thank you for posting this, this is such a brilliant idea. Ya'l look at this wedding registry OMG
  • X-handed bootboy @benkeithphoto Some odd requests I guess but I kinda think that if you cannot set aside one day of your life to experience a one time event for someone you love and experience a little discomfort so they can enjoy their day their way then just stay home lol
  • tennis bro fujoing down ... @brownbearemoji this is the bitch cousin your mom pressures you to invite to your wedding
  • veera | mentally ill @lvrasan i see nothing wrong with this like all of these are so much better than asking for some expensive stuff?? why are you crying?? im actually getting an impression of a healthy marriage from this
